The Asbestos Project Monitor training accredits individuals to oversee asbestos abatement projects on behalf of facility owners or supervisors. They interpret project specifications, ensuring contractor compliance with regulations. (Note: This refresher does not replace training for Asbestos Supervisors or Worker).
Training for asbestos abatement is mandated by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1986 (AHERA), enforced through the EPA Asbestos Model Accreditation Plan. This course is EPA and Tennessee approved for AHERA and ASHARA compliance in K-12 schools and public/commercial buildings. Project Monitors must hold a valid certificate on-site.
